ABOUT JASON VAUGHAN

VAUGHAN MEDIA = COMMUNICATION + GRAPHIC DESIGN

After escaping small-town Texas, Jason made the Washington/Baltimore Metro home. He’s followed a career path from project management to publication design to historic preservation and interpretation. Architectural history has always been one of Jason’s passions. This interest in the built environment was the inspiration in attending the University of Maryland for a Master in Historic Preservation. The degree choice was a perfect blend suited to his talents and interests: public policy, architecture, urban planning, graphic design, and historical research.

Jason currently serves as the director of historic preservation and interpretation for the Baltimore National Heritage Area. Jason manages a number of projects ranging from the development of urban heritage trails to advocating for the preservation of Baltimore architecture. Before joining the heritage area staff, he worked with the National Park Service’s Chesapeake Bay Office and Heritage Education Services program on a wide array of projects ranging from research to public relations to publication design.

Jason has a number of personal interests, including the dramatic and visual arts, travel, and cooking.
